Amber Riley - big cleavage - Mercedes from Glee - DWTSAmber Riley Full of Glee after DWTS Week 1 – the 27-year old actress shot to the top of the tree after week 1  of the new series of Dancing With The Stars.

Amber and her professional partner Derek Hough were given a cha-cha for their first dance and set the bar frighteningly high after they got a score of 9 from each of the 3 DWTS judges given them a total of 27 out of 30, which is the highest opening week score in the history of the show.

Amber’s partner, Derek Hough, must be feeling pretty confident right now as not only has his new protegé just got the highest ever week 1 score but he is also the current professional champion on the show. Add to that Amber’s comment that the show was not as hard as doing Glee and we could see some dance fireworks over the next few weeks.

In fact Derek seemed a little peeved by Amber’s remark that training for DWTS was not as hard as training for Glee. The dancer responded to the comment by saying “Ask her again in a few weeks. DWTS is live and it’s one take, so this is eventually going to be harder.”

The pair danced to Wings by Little Mix and blew the rest of the dancers on the opening show away. Corbin Bleu  and Elizabeth Berkley Lauren managed a normally opening show winning 24 points apiece but Amber looked in a different class.

The show’s worst performance came from Bill Nye “Science Guy” who could only manage a paltry 14 points for his cha-cha with Tyne Stecklein. His dancing brought out one of head judge Len Goodman’s special comments:  “It was like being waxed: it was painful when it happened and lovely when it was over.”

Although we are yet to see what the public are thinking we can’t imagine that it will be Glee’s Mercedes that gets sent back home next week when the results are announced.
